Sneak Peak of #NACE12!

Tomorrow, June 12th, the NACE 2012 Conference & Expo officially begins here at the Paris Las Vegas! For those of you who haven’t arrived in town yet or haven’t made your way down to the conference area, we wanted to give you a little sneak peak of what is going on here to get ready for the conference kick off. Out and About in Las Vegas!

On Sunday, most of the NACE Staff arrived in Las Vegas to prepare for the NACE 2012 Conference & Expo. Before the hard work began we were able to get out and explore the many forms of entertainment this city provides. Make sure you plan out your week so you can experience both the many learning oportunities at NACE but also the unique tourist attractions of Las Vegas. Remember, Thursday night you are on your own so get out there and have some fun with the new friends you make at #NACE12!

#NACE12 is Going Global!

This morning has officially kicked off the NACE 2012 Conference & Expo events in Las Vegas! Right now we are simultaneously hosting the NACE Global Recruitment Symposium (GCRS) as well as the NACElink Symposium here at the Paris and Bally’s hotels. Energy is high and learning opportunities are abound!

If you are attending the GCRS, make sure you tweet your newly gained knowledge and experience using hashtag #NACE12. There are several great sessions this afternoon including the Hot Topic Roundtables at 3:30 and the “Is the Social Revolution Over?” General Session at 5:00.  Join us for the evening reception tonight at 6:00 in Champagne 3.

It goes without saying that NACE members are the absolute greatest people out there; their drive and enthusiasm never ceases to amaze me. While the #NACE12 chat on Twitter continues to heat up, a few people have taken their excitement for the NACE 2012 Conference & Expo to a whole new level and they deserve some recognition for it!

Last week NACE debuted the 2012 Pre-Conference Video in hopes of getting everyone psyched for the big event. The staff members from the Duke University Career Center then posted a video reply in the form of this gem right here, check it out:


I love it! I gotta give it up to these folks, they totally rocked this video! You can tell them how awesome you thought it was on Twitter, @DukeCareers and @justcameo. You can also tweet your own reasons for being excited for the conference by using hashtag #NACE12.

#NACE12 is taking over!

Wow, It’s hard to believe we are only ONE WEEK away from the NACE 2012 Conference & Expo in Las Vegas. Where did the time go?! I am thrilled to be able to share some exciting numbers with you. As of today, there are 1,923 people registered to attend #NACE12 – that is the highest number we’ve seen at a NACE Conference since 2008 in New Orleans! Hope everyone is ready to get their networking on because there’s going to be TONS of opportunities to meet and mingle with all of these great NACE-ers. There are so many of us coming out to Las Vegas next week that we have now overflowed our overflow hotel. Yes, that’s right – both Paris and Bally’s are now fully booked. If you still need to make hotel reservations, please contact The Flamingo or Caesar’s through their easy online booking tool.

I’ll leave you today with just a few quick reminders:

- Don’t forget to pack a fun RED outfit for Tuesday night’s Opening Celebration and Awards Presentation,
